Paris

Paris: April & May 2016

This was the beginning of it all. I first came to Paris with my family in a massive convoy for my mum and step dad’s wedding in Poitier, I later returned in May solo for another week. The weather was awful, but it’s hard not to be enchanted by this magical city.

Hotel Elysees Mermoz

The view from my hotel room my first morning in Paris, steps away from the Champs Elysees (thanks mum!).

Pont Alexandre III
Musee d’Orsay
The Louis Vuitton Museum

Honestly I really struggle with museums, I find them so boring! But I really like the architecture at the Louis Vuitton Museum and this awesome clock and Musee d’Orsay which has a view over the river, just don’t ask me about the art!

Sacre Coeur

Sitting on the steps of the Sacre Coeur for sunset with new mates is one of my favourite things to do in Paris.

Galeries Lafayette

Photos at this ridiculous department store are free at least.

Hall of Mirrors- Palace of Versailles
Estate of Trianon- Versailles
Marie Antoinette’s Estate- Versailles
Estate of Trianon

Versailles was definitely breath taking, and my favourite part was the palace where Marie Antoinette would hang out, which I think cost extra. I only went because the girl I went with from my hostel insisted, so glad I went!
